Larry Crumbley

UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR RECEIVES ELITE HONOR

Larry Crumbley, KPMG Peat Marwick Endowed Professor in the Department of Accounting at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, was recently presented with the Society of Louisiana CPA’s Lifetime Achievement in Accounting Education Award. The award was presented by both the American Institute of CPAs and the LCPA and qualifies Crumbley for consideration for the 2007 AICPA National Lifetime Achievement in Accounting Education Award.

 

This distinction is conferred upon only those who have contributed to the field as instructors, published researchers, and members of appropriate organizations. Crumbley has established himself professionally by writing over 50 books, a dozen didactic novels, and innumerable other works on topics ranging from estate planning to forensic accounting.

Crumbley’s accomplishments outside of academia include having founded and served as president of the American Taxation Association as well as a listing in Who’s Who in America, a directory of notable and influential figures around the country.
